Endowment & Planned Giving PDF Print E-mail

Endowment:

A program endowment is a perpetual gift that can be designated for a specific Boys & Girls Club location or program. The original gift remains intact, and the income is used toward the designated area of service. An endowment can be established in memory of a loved one or a donation can be added to an existing fund that will contribute to your local community indefinitely.

Planned Giving:

People who are generous...and smart...often use planned gifts to fulfill their charitable wishes.  A planned gift can take many forms, such as cash assets or a gift annuity, a trust or perhaps a charitable intention in a will, retirement plan or life insurance policy.  By thoughtfully considering a planned gift, you can effectively stretch your philanthropic dollar, save taxes and pass more on to your heirs.

Gving appreciated stocks, mutual funds or real estate can cost you less than giving the equivalent amount in cash.  Naming a charity as a beneficiary of your tax-deferred retirement account can be more tax efficient than naming an individual.  You can leave a bequest through a retirement plan or life insurance policy at no cost to you now.
